About Patrick
Patrick Kunes studied records earlier than turning to regulation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in history from the University of Georgia in 1999 and later took up legal studies at Georgia State University College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2005. Those academic years combined a curiosity in records and public policy with practical legal background.
After law program he remained connected to academia for a time. In 2006 he labored as a graduate studies assistant for SAIICA at Georgia State’s College of Law. That role uncovered him to legal studies projects and the kinds of procedural and evidentiary issues that frequently floor in criminal cases.
Kunes entered private practice in 2008 when he launched Kunes Law Office. He has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2008. Over the years he constructed experience taking on cases that frequently intersect with impaired driving and managed-substance laws. Training and court practice have been recurring functions of his career.
He has pursued specialized education in areas applicable to daily felony defense work. He finished standardized area sobriety training thru Ron Lloyd Enterprises and Tony Corroto’s program, and he graduated from the National College of DUI Defense Winter Session in 2014. He additionally finished the Bill Daniels Trial Advocacy Program provided by the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and attended a Georgia N.O.R.M.L. software on protecting marijuana instances.
His professional affiliations mirror those pursuits. He has been a member of N.O.R.M.L. since 2008 and holds membership in its Legal Committee. From 2017 to 2019 he served as a regional vice president for the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. That duration covered work on nearby and regional problems dealing with felony defense practitioners.
In practice Kunes handles matters generally seen in state courts: DUI-related hearings, contested sobriety proof, and cases involving marijuana and different controlled substances. He blends trial experience, the specialised education he has pursued, and the procedural information gained early in his professional life. He currently practices at Kunes Law Office in Georgia, focusing on DUI defense and criminal defense work.
