About Patrick
Patrick Hunn trained as an economist before turning to regulation. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Illinois State University and later took up legal research at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he received his J.D. He combines those two backgrounds when comparing cases and advising clients.
He is certified to practice in both Illinois and Missouri. Early in his career he worked on a range of felony things, studying how state courts operate and how prosecutors approach cases. That on-the-floor courtroom experience formed his strategy to protection work: put together carefully, check every piece of proof, and make undeniable arguments to judges and juries.
Hunn belongs to the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Williamson County Bar Association. He participates in nearby bar activities and attends training that keeps him recent on modifications in felony procedure and evidence regulation. Those memberships place him in regular contact with other defense attorneys and offer a discussion board for discussing strategy and new legal advancements.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in trial preparation and direct in courtroom advocacy. He handles arraignments, motion practice, plea bargaining sessions and jury trials. On any given day he would possibly argue a suppression movement, interview witnesses, or put together cross-examinations. He has a tendency to prioritize readability in legal briefs and economy in oral argument. Clients report that he explains alternatives plainly and maps out likely results rather than offering optimistic promises.
He practices at Hunn Klingemann, P.C., where he represents clients in felony protection matters throughout Illinois and Missouri. His recent work facilities on defending individuals charged with state crimes and addressing associated procedural issues.
