About P. Zachary

P. Zachary Stewart constructed a legal path that spans two states and a mix of solo and firm practice. He combines trial experience and civil practice. Colleagues describe him as methodical; clients find him direct.

He completed undergraduate research at West Virginia University, earning a B.A. in Political Science in 2007. He then attended Michigan State University College of Law and received his J.D. in 2010. Those years shaped his strategy to legal research and client counseling, grounding him in both concept and practical advocacy.

Stewart began his independent practice in 2013 when he opened the Law Office of P. Zachary Stewart, PLLC. He treated a variety of things and developed a caseload that included civil disputes and procedural litigation. Over nearly a decade of solo practice he managed client intake, discovery, trial preparation and appearances. The experience of running a small practice gave him familiarity with each a part of a case file, from court filings to post-trial filings.

In 2022 he joined Carey & Stewart, PLLC as a partner. The move introduced him right into a diverse firm shape while permitting him to proceed handling contested matters. As a companion he shares duty for legal strategy and mentoring junior attorneys. He also stays involved in the day-to-day duties that put together a case for hearings and trial.

Stewart is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. He keeps memberships within the American Bar Association, the West Virginia Bar Association and the Hancock County Bar Association. Those memberships keep him engaged with modifications in procedural guidelines and state-degree practice developments. They also offer boards for ongoing legal training and peer discussion.

Throughout his profession he has balanced litigation and client counseling. He often seems in state courts and handles pretrial pretrial motions, evidence-gathering process disputes and settlement discussions. His practice consists of dealing with procedural elements of civil legal proceedings and representing clients thru trial where required. He strategies each topic by figuring out realistic steps that advance a client’s position and by making ready the record for powerful advocacy.

He lives and works within the region served by his licensure and keeps an active caseload at Carey & Stewart, PLLC. He continues to accept matters in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia and concentrates his current practice on civil litigation and associated procedural work.
