About Nicholas John

Nicholas John Guarisco built his legal foundation in Louisiana lecture rooms and courtrooms. He earned a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law in 2016 and completed Tulane’s Sports Law certificate. Before that he acquired a B.A. in Mass Communications from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, in 2012. His academic path mixed learn about of regulation, media and the guidelines that shape organized game.

After law school he spent a year on the bench as a studies lawyer for the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal. In that position he assisted judges by drafting memoranda and undertaking legal research on appellate matters. The courtroom position exposed him to appellate processes and sharpened his analytical habits early in his career.

In 2017 he moved into private practice, joining Porteous, Hainkel & Johnson as an associate. At the firm he labored on legal proceedings matters and discovered the realistic side of preparing instances for courtroom. That duration rounded out his knowledge on each trial and appellate tracks and introduced him to the day-to-day work of client representation in state courts.

Guarisco’s education in sports and entertainment law remains a part of his expert profile. His undergraduate degree in mass communications informs how he approaches problems of exposure, messaging and regulatory frameworks in wearing contexts. He holds membership in the Louisiana State Bar Association and practices in Louisiana.

Today he's a principal at Richardson & Guarisco, L.L.C. There he applies his appellate knowledge, legal proceedings practice and sports law background to client things. His work balances courtroom procedure and regulatory questions, and it attracts on a mixture of legal studies, drafting and advocacy. He keeps an active role in instances and things throughout the state.
