About Nicholas

Nicholas Chlebowski trained at Drake University Law School, earning his J.D. in 2006 after several years of study there. He got here thru a traditional law school route and entered practice in the mid-2000s, a period that coincided with rapid shifts in business and technology law.

His earliest recorded in-residence role was as in-house counsel at Capital, Technology & Leasing, L.L.C. in 2007. That position positioned him inside a company environment, dealing with transactional work and the day-to-day legal matters that occur in agencies that integrate finance, technological know-how and asset management. It used to be an early grounding in contracts, vendor relationships, and the sorts of compliance and commercial questions that often shape later areas of practice.

By 2013 he based Chlebowski Law LLC and began practicing under his personal company name. Over the years at his firm he has handled an array of things for enterprise clients. The practice has frequently intersected with commercial transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, and counseling for small and mid-sized firms. He has represented clients on things that draw on his in-residence experience, offering practical recommendation that objectives to get to the bottom of disputes and shape deals in a manner that anticipates operational needs.

Chlebowski is certified to practice in Missouri and keeps membership in the Missouri Bar Association. His background bridges both the internal point of view of corporate counsel and the external position of personal attorney advising clients. That combination informs how he approaches legal issues: realistic, detail-oriented, and attentive to how legal language translates into enterprise results.

Colleagues and clients report that he takes a measured approach to case strategy. He has a tendency to interrupt complex agreements into their operational pieces and address danger where it intersects with business priorities. His familiarity with technology-related commercial preparations and leasing transactions traces again to his time in-residence and has continued to surface in the matters he accepts at his firm.

Outside of client work he has remained active in bar club and expert networks in Missouri. He continues to handle transactional and advisory matters for company clients, serving as counsel on commercial contracts, company governance, and associated business law issues. He presently concentrates his practice on enterprise and corporate matters, which includes technology- and leasing-associated transactions and general counsel services for small and mid-sized agencies.
