Nicholas A. Sarcone studied political science and records at Saint Louis University, earning a B.A. in 2000. He went on to law school at the University of Iowa, receiving his J.D. in 2007. Those years set the technical groundwork for a profession that has moved among federal clerkships, public protection and private practice.
Early in his legal training Sarcone worked as a regulation clerk for federal public defenders. In 2005 he clerked in the Northern District of California and the subsequent yr he took a clerkship within the Southern District of Iowa. After finishing law program he began his expert practice in Florida. In 2007 he served as an assistant public defender in Hillsborough County in Tampa. That position placed him in courtrooms and client meetings at a fast tempo.
He next entered private practice as an affiliate in 2008. He joined Stowers Law Office as an associate in 2010 and have become a partner when the company expanded into Stowers & Sarcone, PLC in 2013. In 2021 he left that partnership to open Sarcone Law Office, PLC and two years later he formed Babich Sarcone, where he's listed as a lawyer and proprietor. Sarcone keeps admissions in Iowa, the Eighth Circuit and Florida. His professional memberships reflect sustained involvement in criminal protection circles. He has been a part of the Iowa Association for Justice’s Criminal Core Group since 2014 and has served as vice chair of that team since 2018. He holds club in the Iowa Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers on the government degree and is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, each since 2008. He is likewise listed as a member of the Top one hundred Trial Lawyers in Iowa since 2014.
