About Mr. James Riley
Mr. James Riley Hodder earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 2004. He completed at a time when the Massachusetts legal market was converting quickly. His early legal education included traditional study room work and the practical education Suffolk emphasizes. That grounding formed the subsequent steps of his career.
Hodder moved into personal practice within the mid-2000s. In 2007 he joined Ellis & Associates as an associate lawyer. There he treated the day-to-day needs of company lifestyles: client intake, legal studies, drafting court filings and supporting extra senior lawyers in litigation and transactional matters. Three years later he took a role at Rubin, Rubin & Wilcox, the place his title used to be listed as Lawyer in 2010. The pass mirrored a steady development thru law company ranks and a willingness to take on broader duties.
Over time Hodder built experience in things that required each careful preparation and courtroom readiness. His work in company settings concerned interacting with clients, preparing briefs, and collaborating in evidence-gathering process processes. Colleagues from that duration described him as someone who managed detailed work and met firm time limits. He practiced under the supervision of senior lawyers and handled pieces of larger instances in addition to smaller, discrete matters for person clients.
Hodder is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. That aggregate allows him to work on things that begin in state courts and extend into federal appellate proceedings. It also means he has navigated both local courtroom guidelines and federal appellate procedures at some point of his years practicing law.
He has spent the majority of his career in firm environments, shifting from associate roles to positions with greater responsibility. Those transitions gave him exposure to a range of legal tasks. He has knowledge preparing court filings, conducting legal studies, and advising clients on procedural elements of their instances.
As of 2026 Mr. James Riley Hodder continues to practice law in Massachusetts and is licensed to appear before the First Circuit. He keeps a lively practice in the ones jurisdictions.
