About Mr. Alex
Alex Hunt started his legal path at the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a B.A. in Government. He went directly to obtain his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. Early educational work included a Yale & Irene Rosenberg Fellowship on the Center for Children, Law & Policy at the University of Houston Law Center in 2013, a placement that steered him toward child welfare law and coverage issues.
He founded Hunt Law Office, P.L.L.C., the place he serves as principal lawyer. His résumé also lists classroom work: he returned to the University of Houston Law Center as a part-time law professor in 2015 and once more in 2019. Those coaching roles complemented his practice and his coverage work, linking trial experience to the subsequent era of attorneys.
Mr. Hunt is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the State of Texas. He holds certification as a Child Welfare Law Specialist from the National Association of Counsel for Children. He was vice president of the Katy Bar Association from 2017 to 2019, a member of the Burta Rhoads Raborn Family Law Inn of Court from 2017 to 2020, and served at the board of The Arc of Greater Houston from 2010 to 2016. He also served at the Gulf Coast Workforce Board in 20212022.
