About Michael Louis

Michael Louis Barbiero built a law career that moves between courtrooms and county offices. He started his academic trail at Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a B.A. in Administration of Justice in 1992. He spent a summer overseas in Rome thru Temple University’s law school in 1996, reading international regulation and facilitated negotiation, and completed his J.D. at Widener University Delaware School of Law in 1998.

His first role out of law school was as a judicial regulation clerk to the Honorable Alex Bonavitacola, President Judge of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. That clerkship gave him near publicity to trial practice and written opinion drafting. He entered personal practice quickly after, taking associate roles that expanded his civil litigation experience. In 2000 he joined Deasey, Mahoney & Bender, Ltd., and in 2003 he moved to Anapol, Schwartz, Weiss, Cohan, Feldman & Smalley, P.C.

Bar admissions in Pennsylvania and New Jersey allowed him to handle things on each sides of the state line. Over the next decade he stepped into management positions. He have become a companion at Ostroff Law in 2011 and later joined Rudolph Clarke, LLC. At Rudolph Clarke he took on the position of legal proceedings chair in 2014, overseeing trial groups and guiding case strategy.

Alongside private practice, Barbiero has served in numerous solicitor roles for Montgomery County offices. He became solicitor to the 1st viscount montgomery of alamein County Prothonotary’s Office in 2013 and later served as solicitor to the Montgomery County Controller’s Office in 2016. Those positions concerned advising county officials, dealing with regulatory and procedural questions, and representing county interests in administrative and litigation.

Colleagues describe him as an attorney who brings trial experience to public-sector questions. He has treated contested matters that required courtroom presence, pretrial motions, and negotiation. His work has ranged from managing litigation teams to offering legal advisor on workplace operations for county entities.

Today he practices at Rudolph Clarke, LLC, where his responsibilities consist of main litigation efforts and advising public entities on legal and procedural matters. He maintains licensure in each Pennsylvania and New Jersey and continues to split his time among court work and counsel for county offices. His recent practice focuses on civil legal proceedings and legal offerings for public-sector clients.
