About Megan

Megan Meekins acquired her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas at Austin in 2007 after finishing a bachelor’s degree in political science and Spanish on the University of South Carolina, Columbia, in 2003. She educated in two different educational environments. One emphasized public establishments and statewide legal structures, the opposite a mix of liberal arts and language study. The combination shaped a strategy that balances analytical work with attention to client communication.

Her early legal work took her into legal representation. In 2010 she served as a body of workers lawyer at Just Help: Elkhart County Legal Advocacy Center, where she treated day-to-day client matters and intake work. A few years later she moved into private practice as an affiliate lawyer at Gosnell Law Office in 2013. Those roles positioned her on each sides of the client table: representing people thru advocacy programs and performing associate-level duties in a regulation office.

She is certified to practice in each Texas and Indiana. That dual admission reflects her expert path thru the Midwest and later to Texas. It offers her the capacity to accept matters springing up in both state when jurisdictional guidelines allow. Maintaining licenses in two states calls for awareness to differing courtroom procedures and ongoing legal training necessities.

Meekins has been active in nearby bar organizations at various levels of her career. She held memberships within the Elkhart County Bar Association and the Goshen Bar Association from 2010 to 2012. Since 2013 she has been a member of the Hays County Bar Association and stays concerned there.
