About Maxim

Maxim Lissak’s educational record mixes regulation, finance and marketing. He earned a J.D. from Seattle University School of Law (J.D. (2013)). Earlier degrees include a Master of Science in Finance from Seattle University (M.S. (2004)) and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Finance from the University of Washington’s Bothell campus (B.A. (2002)). Those credentials reflect a constant thread: enterprise and numbers have run along an interest in legal work.

After finishing law program, Lissak constructed a legal practice in Washington. He is admitted to practice in the state. Over the years he has handled matters that sit at the intersection of business and regulation. His training in finance has informed how he strategies transactions, agreement disputes and regulatory questions. He strategies each file by weighing legal dangers and commercial realities.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in analysis and clean in explaining alternatives. He has taken roles that required translating technical monetary concepts into legal terms for clients and opposing counsel. That mix of skills has formed the types of matters he accepts and how he prepares for bargaining sessions and proceedings.

Lissak maintains memberships in professional associations. He draws on that community for continuing schooling and to stay recent on regulation modifications and rising enterprise issues. His experience spans advising privately held firms, working with monetary data in a legal context and addressing enterprise-orientated litigation matters. He tends to take on engagements that require each legal reasoning and a knowing of monetary structures.

His practice is grounded in Washington’s legal environment. He works from offices in the area and manages client matters across the state’s courts and administrative boards. He emphasizes realistic solutions, candid risk assessments and careful drafting to reduce downstream disputes.

Outside of things that reach a court, much of his time includes counseling on transactions, making ready agreements and helping clients recognize compliance obligations. He combines his Juris Doctor and prior finance education to serve enterprise clients who need legal work that recognizes commercial drivers. His current practice focuses on legal issues where enterprise and finance intersect.
