About Matthew
Matthew Parham is a New York–primarily based attorney whose work spans private practice and legal education. He holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law (2004), a M.A. from Columbia University (1999) and each a B.A. and a M.A. from Johns Hopkins University (1998). Those educational years set the foundation for a career that moved shortly from giant-company legal proceedings to solo practice and then to a regional legal center.
After law school Parham joined Sullivan & Cromwell LLP as a litigation associate in 2005. He hung out in a high-volume corporate litigation surroundings the place he handled research, drafting and court preparation along extra senior litigators. That early experience gave him a textured view of legal proceedings practice and client representation beneath tight deadlines.
He launched the Law Offices of Matthew A. Parham in 2010. Running a solo practice required him to shift roles: lawyer, manager and client touch all at once. Two years later he began operating at Western New York Law Center, Inc., bringing personal-practice knowledge to a multi-attorney placing. The move shifted his day-to-day work from operating a company to participating on client matters with different attorneys within the region.
Parham has balanced practice with coaching. Since 2011 he has served as a part-time law professor at SUNY-Buffalo School of Law. In the study room he translates practice realities into classes for regulation students. His time coaching has run alongside his work in the Western New York legal network and has stored him engaged with the subsequent era of lawyers.
He is admitted to practice in New York. Over the direction of his career he has moved among complex litigation at a countrywide company, solo practice and work within a regional legal middle. The variety of those roles informs how he approaches client issues. As of 2026 he is primarily based at Western New York Law Center, Inc., where he represents clients in cases and things springing up in New York.
