About Matthew J.
Matthew J. Fogelman started his expert trail in the humanities before turning to the regulation. He earned a B.A. in English from Wesleyan University in 1997 and went directly to obtain his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2002. Those years formed his approach to legal writing and evaluation, skills that could hold him into a court profession.
Fresh out of law school he joined Bingham as an associate in 2002. He spent the early years of his practice growing legal proceedings skills and learning the mechanics of litigation preparation. In 2005 he moved to Todd & Weld, once more as an associate, the place he continued to manage civil matters and sophisticated his courtroom experience. Eight years into his profession he founded his own firm. In 2010 he opened Fogelman Law LLC and took on the responsibilities of a founding partner.
He is licensed to practice earlier than the U.S. Supreme Court and is licensed in Massachusetts and New York. Those admissions allow him to manage things at multiple ranges of the federal and state structures. His background includes trial work and appellate filings, reflecting a tradition that spans diverse levels of litigation.
Outside of day-to-day casework he participates in professional organizations. He holds memberships within the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Associations, and the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce Lawyers’ Committee. Over the years his work has centered on employment and civil legal proceedings. He handles disputes that move through pretrial research, motion practice, and trial when necessary. He additionally prepares appellate briefs and looks in better courts when cases raise legal questions that prolong beyond an unmarried trial.
