About Matthew J Bouillon

Matthew J Bouillon Mascareñas built a legal education that crosses languages and legal structures. He earned a J.D. from Boston College Law School (2010). Before that he finished a Master, Level I, in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action at Universita degli Studi di Siena (2006) and an A.B. in Romance Languages from the University of Georgia (2004). He additionally holds translation certifications from the American Translators Association for both Italian-to-English and Spanish-to-English work.

His early profession positioned him in New Mexico courtrooms. In 2011 he served as an assistant district attorney in the Eighth Judicial District of New Mexico. That prosecutorial foundation ended in roles in state authorities focused on white collar crime and securities oversight. In 2013 he joined the New Mexico Attorney General’s workplace to work on anti-money laundering matters, and by 2015 he used to be a senior prosecuting attorney in the New Mexico Securities Division.

He moved into a collection of regulatory and coverage posts after that. In 2017 he joined the Colorado Department of Law as an assistant attorney common within the Securities and Banking area. Two years later he returned to the New Mexico Securities Division as its director. Those positions gave him hands-on experience in investigations, enforcement and rulemaking associated with securities and monetary institutions.

Mascareñas has also worked in private practice and company settings. In 2020 he practiced as an attorney at Marrs Griebel, Ltd. He opened the Law Office of Matthew J. Bouillon Mascareñas, LLC and served as its principal in 2021. In 2022 he took on a senior counsel position at Industria Business Lawyers, LLP. The sequence indicates a pattern of alternating public-sector enforcement work with personal practice and advisory roles.

His expert profile reflects a mix of securities enforcement, banking regulation, white-collar investigations and cross-border language abilities. The translator certifications in Italian and Spanish add an uncommon functionality for instances or transactions that contact multilingual documentation or foreign counterparties. Colleagues and supervisors have placed him in leadership roles in government agencies and in senior positions at smaller companies.

He maintains a tradition that attracts on each his regulatory knowledge and his litigation background. He advocates for clients in things that intersect securities regulation, banking regulation and investigations, and he advises businesses on compliance and transactional problems. His recent practice focuses on securities enforcement protection, regulatory compliance, and related corporate law things.
