About Matthew

Matthew Gross is an attorney licensed to practice in New York and Minnesota. He constructed a legal foundation in both study room and courthouse. His trail crossed public defense, then personal practice, and he has spent years handling contested things in courtrooms and administrative settings.

Gross completed his undergraduate research at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, earning a B.A. in Sports Management & Communication and U.S. History in 2002. He studied law at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and acquired his J.D. in 2006. Those years taught him the practical demands of litigation, from studies and motion practice to oral argument.

Early in his submit-law program profession, Gross served as a volunteer public defender in 2010 for the Third Judicial District, Office of the Public Defender. That work put him in direct touch with clients dealing with criminal charges and required rapid evaluation of evidentiary and procedural problems. The knowledge sharpened his court skills and familiarized him with litigation preparation, plea negotiation, and client counseling beneath pressure.

In 2011 he joined Quarnstrom & Doering, P.A. as an associate. At the company he took on legal proceedings responsibilities and treated things that moved from preliminary filing thru trial phases. His role required drafting court filings, conducting discovery, and arguing motions. He labored along firm partners and other associates on instances that demanded sustained attention to procedural element and strategic making plans.

Over time Gross’s practice has reflected his background in public protection and in firm litigation. He has experience in courtroom appearances, evidentiary hearings, and client interviews. He approaches instances by breaking problems into discrete duties, then addressing each thru studies and measured advocacy. Colleagues describe him as thorough in preparation and steady at some point of contested proceedings.

Outside the court, Gross’s education in communication and records informs how he frames arguments and gifts facts. He pays attention to how a story will read to a pass judgement on or jury and how procedural posture can shape bargaining positions. That perspective influences his case reviews and the options he lays out for clients.

He keeps a lively practice at Quarnstrom & Doering, P.A., where he handles litigation things and represents clients in trial and pretrial settings.
