Those early roles gave him practical perception into banking operations and the record circulate that supports commercial lending.

In 2009 he became the managing lawyer at DesMeules & Associates. That role placed him in charge of the firm’s legal work and its day-to-day operations. The title reflects both supervisory responsibility and a persevering with position in client matters.

Across public and private posts, Des Meules has been involved in trial-court settings, administrative proceedings and appellate work. He has direct experience interior courthouses at the trial level, in administrative adjudications on the tax board, and in federal legal environments thru his time at the Department of Justice. Those varied settings inform how he approaches procedural and evidentiary issues.

He continues to steer DesMeules & Associates, and his practice centers on client representation, administrative and appellate matters, and the operational duties of operating a small regulation office.
