About Matt

Matt Andrews trained first as a scientist and then as an attorney. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Wyoming and later graduated from Georgia State University College of Law with a J.D. in 2013. His academic trail blends analytical habits from the sciences with court education from law school.

He began his professional legal career in 2013 as an Assistant District Lawyer in the Douglas County District Lawyer’s Office. The position put him in regular touch with court work, case preparation, and the every day pressures of local prosecution. Two years later he moved to the Richmond County Solicitor General’s Office, where he served as an Assistant Solicitor General in 2015.
