About Mark
Mark Dumas educated at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2004. He entered law program after finishing in advance studies and left Cardozo with a degree that released a career in personal practice. The law school connection has remained essential to him; he now serves at the Executive Committee of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law Alumni Association.
He is licensed to practice in New York and Connecticut, and he's approved to appear earlier than the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Those credentials have formed where and the way he practices. Early in his career he took on courtroom work in both state and federal settings and later added appeals practice to his portfolio.
Dumas built his practice through a small company model and now works as an attorney at The Dumas Law Office. The firm profile is compact. It fits the kind of hands-on litigation work he prefers. Over the years he has treated things that required courtroom appearances, written submissions for appellate panels, and case management throughout multiple jurisdictions.
He maintains lively memberships in professional organizations. He holds recent memberships within the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. His position on the Cardozo alumni government committee keeps him related to law school training and to a community of former classmates and school. These ties tell his practice and his approach to professional improvement.
In day-to-day work he represents clients in state and federal courts in New York and Connecticut and looks in matters that attain the Second Circuit. He spends time making ready trial filings, briefing appeals, and managing discovery. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in courtroom and meticulous on paper. Outside the court he participates in bar things to do and alumni events that center on legal proceedings and appeals practice. His current practice concentrates on legal proceedings and appellate work in New York and Connecticut.
