Mark Avery earned a B.A. in International Business and Spanish from the University of Idaho in 1995 and a J.D. from Brigham Young University in 1998. His educational background mixes international commerce and language study with formal legal training. The coursework and degrees set a practical tone for a career that crosses state lines and enterprise lines.

He started working as an attorney after completing law school and has built a profession that spans more than one jurisdictions.
