About Mark A.
Mark A. Buterbaugh constructed his career on continuous development through public service and private practice. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in political science at Pennsylvania State University in 1992, then earned a Master of Public Administration from Shippensburg University in 1997. He later turned to regulation, receiving his J.D. from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in 2009.
His early expert life included work inside Pennsylvania government. In 1994 he served on the staff of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, a position that exposed him to the legislative process and the practical demands of public policy. After law school he moved into regulatory enforcement, becoming a member of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board as enforcement counsel in 2009. That position put him on the the front lines of administrative practice and regulatory compliance.
Buterbaugh entered personal practice in 2011 as an attorney at Post & Schell. A yr later he became a companion at Mooney Law, a firm that maintains multiple offices which includes locations in Carlisle and Hagerstown.
