About Lori Carver

Lori Carver Hershorin is a seasoned trial attorney and managing shareholder at Hershorin & Henry LLP in Lake Forest, California. With over 30 years of experience, she specializes in corporate law, real estate, employment law, insurance defense, and appellate litigation. She used to be admitted to the State Bar of California in 1991. Ms. Hershorin earned her Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 1991, the place she served as a Note Development Editor for the Indiana Law Review and was inducted into the Order of Barristers. She completed her undergraduate research at Indiana University, Bloomington, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1986.

Before founding Hershorin & Henry LLP in 2003, Ms. Hershorin began her legal career at McDermott, Will & Emery, focusing on fraud, contract disputes, employment problems, and actual estate matters. She then joined Lewis, D’Amato, Brisbois & Bisgaard, concentrating on loan fraud, actual estate, and contract violation legal proceedings. In 1995, she transitioned to Fidelity National Title Insurance Company as Assistant Vice-President and Associate Counsel, dealing with numerous cases involving actual property, fraud, fiduciary duty violation, insurance bad faith, and complicated commercial disputes. By 2000, she was promoted to Vice-President, Senior Litigation Counsel, and Litigation Manager for the Southwestern Region, overseeing litigation departments in Southern California and Las Vegas. At Hershorin & Henry LLP, Ms. Hershorin manages a diverse caseload, including escrow disputes, title coverage claims, real estate problems, and business litigation.

She has successfully handled over forty appeals, keeping an excessive success rate. Her appellate experience consists of meaningful instances such as Magna Enterprises v. Fidelity National Title Insurance Co. (2002) 104 Cal.App.4th 122, which addressed the definition of "loss of access" beneath a title coverage coverage, and Markowitz v. Fidelity National Title Insurance Company (2006) 142 Cal. App. 4th 508, regarding sub-escrow responsibilities.

In addition to her legal proceedings practice, Ms. Hershorin is a licensed court mediator for Orange, Los Angeles. Riverside counties and serves as an arbitrator for the Orange County and Riverside County Bar Associations' attorney rate disputes. She frequently speaks on topics associated with fraud, alternative dispute resolution, escrow, title coverage. Litigation issues.
