She has also been admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to founding her personal firm, she served as a Deputy District Attorney within the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for 15 years, the place she prosecuted a wide range of felony instances, including critical felonies.

Ms. Houle is a member in good standing of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the South Bay Bar Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in Southern California from 2019 to 2026. Additionally, she served as a certified regulation enforcement teacher for the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) and has provided training for the Los Angeles Police Department, the Department of Public Safety, and the LAX Airport Police Department.
