About Lex A.

Lex A. Johnson earned his Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University in 1996. He finished the formal education that set the stage for a career rooted in Illinois courts.

After law school he moved into public service. In 1999 he joined the Cook County State's Lawyers Office as an Assistant State's Lawyer. That role positioned him inside a hectic public office and provided ordinary courtroom publicity. He handled the kinds of things that come thru a county office and discovered how to manage competing time limits and court demands.

In 2003 he left the general public sector to open his personal practice. He became principal of the Law Office of Lex A. Johnson & Associates, P.C. Running a company required a different set of skills. He took on administrative responsibilities, client intake and legal strategy while continuing to seem in court. Over time he shaped the office into a tradition that serves clients throughout Illinois.

Johnson's background bridges public and private work. Years in a county legal workplace gave him continuous trial experience. Years operating a firm further client counseling and case management to his repertoire. He is licensed to practice in Illinois and has spent his profession targeted on things that occur in state courts.

Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in approach. He tends to emphasise preparation and clear verbal exchange. He keeps files prepared and deadlines seen. This realistic awareness to process courses how he prepares cases and advises clients. He also keeps familiarity with procedural guidelines and courtroom practices, abilities he first honed in the county office and later applied to private matters.

As of 2026 he continues as principal at his firm. He handles filings, represents clients in proceedings and keeps the daily operations of his practice. He currently handles cases and advises clients in matters earlier than Illinois courts.
