Lance Aaron Hafenstein is a licensed attorney admitted to practice regulation in the State of California. He was licensed to the California State Bar in 1991. His license is currently in active standing. Mr. Hafenstein is a member of the Napa County District Attorney's Office, located at 931 Parkway Mall, Napa, CA 94559. He has been working as an attorney for over 34 years, serving clients across Napa County and the surrounding areas.
Mr. Hafenstein earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he graduated in 1990. Prior to law program, he finished his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science in 1987. During his time at UC Hastings, he used to be involved in various legal clinics and externships, gaining practical experience in felony law.
Mr. Hafenstein concentrates his practice in the areas of felony defense and DUI/DWI instances. He advocates for individuals in things involving drug crimes, record clearing, fraud, gun crimes, internet crimes, sex crimes, theft, and violent offenses. His practice encompasses all levels of litigation, including preliminary case assessment, evidence-gathering process, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in each state and federal courts.
Throughout his profession, Mr. Hafenstein has treated instances within the Superior Court of California for the County of Napa, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has additionally seemed before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to becoming a member of the Napa County District Attorney's Office, he worked in the Compton and Long Beach branches of the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office from 1990 to early 1997.
Mr. Hafenstein is a member in good standing of the California State Bar Association and the Napa County Bar Association. He is also a certified specialist in felony law through the State Bar of California. He has been the administrator of the Jefferson Law Center since 2021. Mr. Hafenstein is English-speaking and Spanish, permitting him to serve the numerous groups of Napa County effectively.
