About Kristi

Kristi Baker constructed a law practice out of an early interest in written and civic life. She examine English on the University of Wisconsin–Madison and later turned to law, completing her J.D. at Hamline University School of Law in 2014. Those two educations—one in literature, the other in regulation—form the way she explains complicated rules in easy terms.

Her undergraduate diploma in English used to be awarded in 1992 at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. More than a decade later she enrolled at Hamline, completing the Juris Doctor in 2014. The series of degrees reflects a long lead-as much as a professional legal career instead of a straight, immediate path from university to law school.

She joined The Law Center, S.C. as a lawyer in 2015. The document shows she began practice there the year after earning her J.D. Since arriving, she has balanced courtroom work with case preparation and network-facing projects. Colleagues describe her as methodical in case evaluation and careful in courtroom presentation. She has taken on matters that require coordination with faculties, social workers, and public businesses.

Baker’s involvement outdoor the office complements the work she does in it. She served at the board of Wisconsin Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) from 2014 to 2018. She has been a board member of the Children and Law Section of the State Bar since 2018, and she or he joined the Dane County Bar Association in 2019. She participates in the Dane County Bar Association’s Law for Public Committee, a role she has held since 2016. Since 2015 she has been related with the Student Expulsion Prevention Project (StePP). Those memberships indicate a sustained interest in legal matters affecting younger people and households.

Her professional routine mixes litigation tasks and cooperative work with network packages. She spends time preparing pleadings and motions, assembly with clients, and coordinating with local agencies. She also contributes to committee work and education that purpose to enhance how the justice system handles things involving young people and education.

Now in practice at The Law Center, S.C., she continues to handle cases that intersect with baby welfare and schooling structures. Her recent work centers on legal matters involving children, families, and schools.
