About Kelsey
Kelsey Westermeyer earned her J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 2016. She entered law program after prior undergraduate work and completed during a period of steady difference in federal disability law. The degree set the stage for a profession spent arguing for people in administrative and federal boards.
She is admitted to practice in Kentucky and is authorized to appear earlier than the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Early in her career she joined Lawrence & Associates, where she has served in multiple capacities. Her work there has concerned representing clients through initial administrative filings, hearings before regulatory law judges, and in a few instances federal appeals.
Westermeyer joined the Northern Kentucky Bar Association’s Social Security Section in 2017 and remains a member in good standing. That association displays a steady involvement in things tied to Social Security disability. Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing records and persistent in pursuing appeals when administrative decisions are unfavorable.
Her practice has emphasised the procedural and evidentiary issues that frequently determine disability claims. She reviews clinical records, prepares witnesses for proceedings, and drafts appellate briefs when cases move past the company. Her court presence is pragmatic; she sketches arguments clearly and maintains them tied to the record. That strategy objectives to make clear complex clinical proof for judges and listening to officers.
Outside of proceedings and briefs, Westermeyer spends time helping clients understand the claims procedure. She breaks down timelines, explains what documentation things, and units expectancies approximately results and possible next steps. The work calls for both detailed case management and repeated explanations of guidelines that may seem opaque to people new to the device.
Over time she has handled a range of disability things, which includes purposes, reconsiderations, proceedings, and appeals. She continues to practice at Lawrence & Associates. She currently concentrates her practice on Social Security disability representation in Kentucky and appeals to the Sixth Circuit.
