About Keith E.

Keith E. Emmons earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago in 1974 after finishing a Bachelor of Arts at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, in 1971. He came out of law program at a time of change within the profession. He went straight into practice and has spent the bulk of his profession working in Illinois courts and in federal appellate proceedings.

Early in his profession Emmons established himself in the Illinois bar and later secured admission to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. His legal life spans a period when process and precedent advanced considerably. That longevity has given him familiarity with each state trial practice and the mechanics of federal appeals.

Over the years he treated matters that required filings at multiple levels of the judiciary. His work concerned drafting pleadings, preparing appellate briefs and managing court presentations. He has experience moving cases through the device and addressing each procedural and substantive questions that arise in state and federal legal proceedings.
