About Justin
Justin Stephens built the legal foundation that would form his profession at Southeast Missouri State University, where he completed undergraduate research in 2002. He went on to earn his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2006. Those years in school set a clean path to practice in Missouri and provided the realistic training that attorneys have faith in early in their careers.
After law program, Stephens entered personal practice and spent part of his early profession at Husch, Blackwell, Sanders, Welsh & Katz LLP. He worked in a large company environment the place he gained exposure to the demands of serving enterprise and person clients. That experience uncovered him to firm processes and case management at scale, and it shaped how he strategies client things nowadays.
Throughout his profession Stephens has targeted on offering legal advisor and representation to clients in Missouri. He has worked with colleagues and clients on matters that required attention to detail, time-sensitive filings, and coordination across teams. He is known amongst friends for an even-passed strategy to client communications and for dealing with procedural and substantive problems steadily.
In time he left the bigger company placing and moved into a smaller office environment. That shift allowed him to manage files more directly and to manage client relationships everyday. Colleagues describe him as practical in his legal work and deliberate in court and negotiation settings. He draws on his prior company knowledge when advising clients and when structuring legal strategy.
Today Stephens practices from Stephens Kelly Law. He maintains his license to practice in Missouri and spends his time on matters that occur beneath state law. His office handles client intake, case preparation, and representation in courtroom when cases proceed to legal proceedings. He balances client-facing work with the behind-the-scenes studies and drafting that most legal issues require.
Outside the workplace he stays related to expert circles in the state. He keeps recent on advancements in Missouri regulation and participates in professional institutions. He continues to serve clients thru Stephens Kelly Law, concentrating his practice on legal matters in Missouri.
