Ms. Burt earned her Juris Doctor degree from Western State University School of Law in 1999. Prior to law school, she finished her undergraduate schooling at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1985. During her time at Western State, she developed a robust foundation in property making plans and confidence law, which has been central to her legal career.
