About Joshua Bradford
Joshua Bradford Kons is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the states of California, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Connecticut. He used to be licensed to the California State Bar in 2006, the Illinois State Bar in 2011, the Wisconsin State Bar in 2007, and the Connecticut State Bar in 2012. His license status is lively in all these jurisdictions. Mr. Kons is the managing member and founding father of Kons Law, a law firm located in Hartford, Connecticut. He has been practicing law for over 19 years, serving clients throughout Connecticut and other states where he's admitted to practice.
Mr. Kons earned his law degree diploma from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2006. Prior to law program, he finished his undergraduate schooling on the University of Wisconsin-Madison, receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2002. During his time at Pepperdine, he concentrated his legal education within the regions of company and securities regulation and served as a senior fellow at the Geoffrey Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship and the Law.
Mr. Kons concentrates his practice within the areas of corporate law, securities litigation, and creditors' rights. He represents agencies in commercial transactions, business litigation, consumer and business debt collection, and securities litigation. His practice encompasses all stages of legal proceedings, including preliminary case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial hearings in both state and federal courts. He has represented over 1,000 individual buyers and monetary advisors across the United States in securities enterprise disputes, which includes FINRA arbitration hearings.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kons has handled instances in various courts, including the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California; the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin; the District of Connecticut; the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois; and the Districts of Colorado and North Dakota. Prior to founding his own company, he worked as an in-house attorney for General Electric (GE), where he used to be responsible for corporate and business transactional things, as well as debt collection and asset recuperation matters. He additionally worked with numerous boutique business and securities regulation companies, focusing on representing investors and monetary advisors in securities binding dispute resolution proceedings.
Mr. Kons is an active member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar of Illinois, the State Bar of Wisconsin, and the State Bar of Connecticut. He is also a member of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA), an organization dedicated to promoting investor rights in securities and commodities binding dispute resolution proceedings. In addition to his securities litigation practice, he keeps a lively category action practice specializing in financial offerings and shopper finance matters, helping stable more than $100 million in comfort for sophistication members since 2012. Mr. Kons is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve a numerous clientele effectively.
