About Jose A. B.

Jose A. B. Nolla earned his law degree from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law in 1990 after finishing a BSBA on the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez in 1985. His legal studies prolonged beyond Puerto Rico: he attended a summer law school in Spain thru the College of William and Mary in 1991, and he has taken courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Those formative years combined enterprise education and comparative legal study, shaping an approach that blends practical and doctrinal views.

He began building his professional legal career in the early 1990s. In 1993 he served as a capital companion at McConnell Valdés, a role that positioned him in the center of complex business and employment things common to the Puerto Rican bar at that time. He is licensed to practice in Puerto Rico and earlier than the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and his work has often crossed among nearby and federal forums.

By the mid-2000s his professional path had taken him to a company bearing his call. Since 2006 he has held a membership at Nolla, Palou & Casellas, LLC. That affiliation displays a shift from the giant-company companion model towards practice in a smaller firm placing. At Nolla, Palou & Casellas he has persisted to handle things that occur at the intersection of labor law and broader company worries.

Nolla has maintained continuous ties to expert organizations that align with the ones subjects. He has been a member of the Federal Bar Association since 1994. He joined the Puerto Rico Bar Association’s Commission on Labor and Employment in 2005 and remains active there. He is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, a connection that maintains him close to the realistic priorities of place of work mavens. Those memberships signal sustained engagement with both the legal rules and the human assets practices that shape disputes and policy.

Throughout his career he has balanced legal proceedings and advisory work, shifting between courtroom appearances and counseling clients on compliance and employment policies. He has worked in settings that require attention to both Puerto Rican regulation and federal procedure. He currently practices at Nolla, Palou & Casellas, LLC, the place his practice centers on labor and employment things, including associated federal legal proceedings.
