About Jonathan
Jonathan Layman built a continuous path into the regulation after reading history as an undergraduate. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Ohio State University in 2005 and later completed his Juris Doctor at Capital University Law School in 2011. Those academic years set the foundation for a practical strategy to courtroom work and client representation.
Early in his legal background, Layman gained hands-on knowledge at a small company. He served as a regulation clerk at Kevin O Brien & Associates starting in 2005. That position exposed him to day-to-day legal practice and gave him an early view of client work, courtroom procedures and case preparation. He returned to the same company as a lawyer in 2011, stepping into a broader role after finishing law school.
Also in 2011, Layman took on public-sector work as a prosecutor for the City of Circleville. In that role he handled cases on behalf of the municipal government and appeared in local courts. The combination of prosecutorial work and private practice supplied him with experience on both facets of the courtroom aisle and sharpened his awareness to procedural element.
