About Joel Duane
Joel Duane Peterson is an attorney that specialize in business, employment, immigration, and health care law. He is the principal at the Law Office of Joel D. Peterson, serving clients throughout the Inland Empire, including Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. His practice focuses on the wants of startups, small businesses, and people, providing offerings similar to company formation, labor law, and immigration cases. A graduate of Pacific Union College with degrees in enterprise management and international communications, Joel earned his law degree from Western State University College of Law in 1996. Prior to his legal career, he labored as an Underwriting Specialist in the Risk Management Department on the Seventh-day Adventist Church headquarters, dealing with international liability claims and collaborating with attorneys on various legal issues.
In 1991, he transitioned to the Inland Empire, becoming a member of the Risk Management Department at Loma Linda University Medical Center. After passing the California Bar in 1998, Joel began his legal practice with the Redlands regulation firm of Ziprick, Schilt, Heinrich and Cramer, serving as chief legal officer for Loma Linda University Medical Center. In 2003, he joined Slovak, Baron and Empey in Riverside County and Palm Springs, focusing on litigation. In 2005, he based his own company, the Law Office of Joel D. Peterson, with offices in Redlands and Colton, where he continues to offer legal services in employment, enterprise, and immigration law.
