About Joan

Joan Fine began her legal trail within the educational halls of Ohio Wesleyan University and Boston College Law School. She left law program and entered practice at a time when few women have been founding their personal companies. She is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and Virginia and has maintained club within the Massachusetts State Bar since 1982.

Her early years within the profession took her through a series of company positions that exposed her to several types of practice. In 1982 she joined Rackmann, Sawyer & Brewster. Two years later she moved to Rubin and Rudman LLP. By 1989 she was at Costello, Dickenson. In 1990 she opened her own workplace, Law Office of Joan K. Fine, PLC, and has practiced beneath that call since.

Those moves reflect a continuous development from associate roles in based firms to operating a personal practice. Along the way she developed relationships in each Massachusetts and Virginia, maintaining lively ties to local and state bar groups. She holds memberships in the American Bar Association and the Winchester-Frederick County Bar Association, amongst others.
