About Jeremy Scott

Jeremy Scott Hyndman constructed his profession from law program classrooms to more than one practice workplaces across the nation. He earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2008. That diploma set the stage for a career that could cross state lines and areas of practice.

He began his legal work as an associate at Locke Lord LLP following graduation. Those early years gave him exposure to complicated commercial things and company-primarily based practice. In 2011 he joined K&L Gates LLP, the place he persisted to work on legal proceedings and client representation. The pass marked a steady progression thru large firm environments and broader caseloads.

In 2014 he became a companion at Investor Defense Law, PLLC. That role positioned him in work associated with buyers and securities disputes, and it tied him to a community of practitioners focused on arbitration and regulatory matters. Three years later he took on the title of managing lawyer at Basalt Legal PLLC, adding a company management position to his résumé.

Hyndman carries admissions in Georgia, Washington, and California. He has maintained ties to the Pacific Northwest legal network whilst also operating thru workplaces in larger metropolitan markets. His professional memberships offer a snapshot of his pursuits: he has been a member of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA) since 2016, joined the Walla Walla County Bar Association in 2017, and in 2018 started serving as a director of the Walla Walla Valley Estate Planning Council.

The combination of investor-focused litigation and property planning involvement is reflected within the workplaces associated with his practice. Records list Basalt Legal PLLC and Investor Defense Law workplaces in Spokane, Los Angeles, and Atlanta amongst his professional places. Those offices support cross-jurisdictional representation and allow him to handle things in Georgia, Washington, and California.

Colleagues and clients see him as a person who has moved from affiliate roles in established firms into positions that require both case work and practice control. He has experience in arbitration and investor advocacy thru PIABA club, and he contributes to nearby estate making plans conversations through the Walla Walla Valley council.

He presently practices through Basalt Legal PLLC and Investor Defense Law, handling investor dispute things and property making plans-related work.
