About Jeremy Darwin

Jeremy Darwin Huie is an attorney licensed to the State Bar of California on December 9, 1997. He is presently a companion at Bassi, Edlin, Huie & Blum LLP, where he makes a speciality of complex litigation, especially in asbestos and product liability instances.

Huie earned his Bachelor of Arts diploma from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993. He then attended the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, the place he received his law degree in 1997. During his time in law school, he served because the Symposium Editor for the West-Northwest Journal of Environmental Law and Policy and finished a clerkship with the Office of Regional Counsel at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region IX.

His areas of practice consist of complicated litigation, the place he serves as first-chair trial counsel and National Coordinating Counsel, defending clients in a number of matters. Huie has in depth experience in trials and litigation, in particular focusing on cases involving asbestos and defective product claims.

Throughout his career, Huie has been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer from 2014 to 2021 and was named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2009 to 2014. He has authored a two-quantity treatise titled "California Depositions" and published several articles on subjects associated with asbestos legal proceedings and liability. Additionally, he has contributed to legal education as an Adjunct Professor teaching Legal Writing & Research at UC Law San Francisco from 2000 to 2006.
