About Jennifer Marie

Jennifer Marie Zupp built her legal foundation on the University of South Dakota School of Law, the place she earned her J.D. in 2006. She completed undergraduate studies at Buena Vista University in 2003, taking degrees in felony justice and political science and concentrating in Spanish. Those early years set a practical tone for a profession rooted in the law of the workplace.

Her career has intertwined practice and expert service. Zupp has been lively in statewide organizations that shape how employees’ compensation is handled in Iowa. She has served on the Continuing Legal Education Committee and on the Workers Compensation Core Group of the Iowa Association for Justice. She was co-chair for two years of the annual workers’ damages symposium convened by the Iowa Workers’ Compensation Advisory Committee. She is presently a board member of the Iowa Association of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers.

Her committee work extends into the civic side of the legal system. Zupp serves at the nominating commission for Iowa Judicial District 3B, a role that includes evaluation of judicial candidates and participation in the choice procedure for the district. Those duties mirror an extended-time period engagement with the profession past court representation.

Local community service figures in her biography as well. Zupp has been at the board of the Norelius Community Library in Denison, Iowa since 2010 and has served as its president. That continuous involvement in a small-town organization speaks to sustained ties within the network the place she practices.

Colleagues and clients encounter a practitioner who balances litigation and coverage work. Her work in employees’ compensation panels and symposiums indicates continuous court and administrative practice, supplemented by a position in ongoing legal training for other attorneys. She has taken on organizational duties, from symposium leadership to board governance, that influence practice requirements throughout the state.

In addition to committee and board duties, Zupp’s day-to-day regulation practice remains centered in Iowa. She handles matters springing up under the state’s workers’ compensation device and participates in the professional networks that shape those rules and procedures. Her current practice focuses on workers’ damages and associated litigation in Iowa.
