About Jennifer M.
Jennifer M. Wolfe followed a path that combines accounting and oil and gas law. She earned a B.S. in Public Accounting from Marietta College in 2010. She then attended West Virginia University College of Law and acquired her J.D. in 2013, studying oil and gas law while in law school.
Her early legal work began before graduation. In 2010 she worked as an administrative assistant for West Virginia Continuing Legal Education. She later served as a legal intern at Little, Sheets & Barr in 2012. Those roles gave her practical exposure to court practice and to the continuing education aspect of the legal career.
After law school she joined Story Law Office as an associate lawyer in 2013. The role placed her in day-to-day client work and case control. In 2015 she took a role outdoor conventional company practice, operating in advertising and sales for JD Injection Specialists, LLC. That knowledge broadened her understanding of the commercial and operational aspects of industries that intersect with oil and gas law.
Wolfe’s professional affiliations mirror steady ties to the oil and fuel sector and to the legal network. She has been a member of the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation since 2010 and of the American Bar Association since 2013. Beginning in 2015 she joined the Independent Oil & Gas Association of West Virginia, the Ohio Oil & Gas Association, and the Southeastern Ohio Oil & Gas Association. These memberships point out ongoing engagement with regulatory, operational and policy advancements affecting power producers and landowners within the region.
Her background in public accounting and her Juris Doctor in oil and gas law shape the things she handles. She has knowledge that spans client counseling, transactional work and things that arise from oil and gas operations. Her time in-house at a service company added point of view on how service vendors and operators speak and marketplace technical offerings to landowners and drilling firms.
Wolfe practices in West Virginia and has maintained expert connections throughout the Ohio Valley oil and fuel community. She combines legal background and industry experience to advise clients on power and oil and gas matters within the state.
