Jennifer Lynn Sheridan is a licensed attorney licensed to practice regulation within the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar on December 14, 1993,. Her license is currently in lively status. Ms. Sheridan is the founder and principal of JLSheridan Law, a boutique firm located in Sacramento, California. The company focuses on technological know-how transactions, intellectual property counseling, and GDPR compliance. Ms. Sheridan has been working as an attorney for over twenty years, serving clients across the Silicon Valley and Sacramento areas.
Ms. Sheridan earned her Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School, the place she graduated as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She also holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy at Tufts University, a Master of Management degree from Mills College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College. Ms. Sheridan concentrates her practice within the areas of technology transactions, highbrow real estate law, and GDPR compliance. Prior to founding her own company, she served as General Counsel and Secretary of a publicly traded software company, Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of a privately held technological know-how organization, and as a company associate at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in Palo Alto and Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York City. She has additionally taught technological know-how transactions at Santa Clara University School of Law and served as a traveling regulation professor on the University of Tennessee Knoxville and Drexel Law School in Philadelphia.
Ms. Sheridan is an active member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), holding the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) certification. She is also the founding father of StartUp Law Bootcamp, an education platform for technology lawyers, and StartUp Law Forum, a knowledge and networking community for technological know-how lawyers.
