About Jeffery Myra
Jeffery Myra Wheat took a nontraditional path into law. He earned a LL.B. from the University of South Africa (LL.B., 2014) and later finished a LL.M. on the University of Washington School of Law (LL.M., 2018), where his studies included legal proceedings and aspects of artificial intelligence. Those educational steps gave him a footing in two legal systems and a technical context for contemporary disputes.
His early years practicing law were spent in South Africa. He labored as a candidate lawyer at Geo Isserow & Friedman beginning in 2014 and moved directly to an associate role at Natalie Lubbe & Associates in 2016. Those positions concerned court work and client counseling, and that they exposed him to business and procedural matters that shaped his strategy to case preparation.
After moving to the United States, Wheat augmented his training with postgraduate study in Seattle. The LL.M. software broadened his view of U.S. legal proceedings methods and brought comparative views on proof and procedure. He also completed brief packages in English common law through the University of London International Programmes and took a course in European corporate law at Lund University School of Economics and Management, reflecting a curiosity in cross-border legal frameworks.
In 2018 he became the managing member of Wheat Legal PLLC. The Seattle-based office lists business law amongst its things to do and serves local commercial clients. His knowledge spans company-aspect responsibilities and case-degree work.
