About Jeana A.
Jeana A. Longo combined an early interest in human conduct with legal background. She earned a B.A. in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2002. Three years later she finished her J.D. at Widener University Delaware School of Law. Those two degrees set the tone for a profession that moves among public service and private practice.
Her first legal role following law school used to be as a Lawyer Advisor on the Small Business Administration in 2006. The post uncovered her to regulatory problems and the realistic questions small enterprises bring to government programs. A year later she took a post as an Assistant Public Defender in Lycoming County. There she treated felony things at the trial level and discovered courtroom procedure beneath pressure. Those early years provided steady court time and an apprenticeship in case preparation.
Longo moved into environmental work in 2014 when she joined the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection as Assistant Counsel. That role broadened her knowledge in regulatory law and state regulation. She recommended on enforcement matters, allows and adherence problems. In 2019 Longo based Longo Law, P.C. The company marked a shift to personal practice and to managing both casework and the business aspect of a small law workplace. Her memberships within the Pennsylvania State Bar and the Lycoming County Bar Association mirror persisted professional engagement at both the state and local levels.
