About Jason
Jason Imler earned his Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law in 1998 after completing a bachelor’s in political science at West Chester University in 1991. He entered the legal world soon after law school, carrying with him an earlier credential as a licensed insurance agent, obtained in 1993. That aggregate of legal training and insurance industry experience would form the realistic side of his practice for years yet to come.
He started his post-law program profession at Handler, Henning & Rosenberg in 1999. There he learned the rhythms of legal proceedings and client work at a hands-on tempo. In 2008 he joined Mooney Law as a lawyer. The move positioned him in a company with multiple offices throughout south-central Pennsylvania and a caseload that required regular courtroom appearances and cooperative work with fellow attorneys within the region.
Imler is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Maryland, and he holds admission to the U.S. highest court. He keeps lively memberships in state and national expert organizations, which includes the Pennsylvania State Bar, the Maryland State Bar, the Pennsylvania Association of Justice, the Maryland Association of Justice, and the American Association of Justice. Those affiliations mirror sustained engagement with the procedural and moral developments that affect trial work across state lines.
His background includes years of courtroom experience and a thread of insurance knowledge running back to the early 1990s. That background informs how he approaches claims, evidence and case preparation. Colleagues describe a methodical approach to case development. He has handled matters that required coordination among diverse courts and counsel, and he is accustomed to shifting among state and federal procedures when a case requires it.
Imler practices out of a cluster of offices that serve central and south-central Pennsylvania: Hanover, Gettysburg, Carlisle, York, Harrisburg, Chambersburg and Shippensburg. He maintains a practice that takes cases in Pennsylvania and Maryland and handles matters that are appropriate for federal courts, including the ones eligible for filing earlier than the U.S. highest court.
