About Jane E.
Jane E. Probst earned her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School in 1987. She entered the profession at a time when the practice of family law in Wisconsin used to be evolving, and her career displays continuous motion thru personal practice and leadership roles. She is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and before the Seventh Circuit.
Her early years practicing law ended in the establishment of her own firm. In 1998 she served as President and Owner of the Law Offices of Jane E. Probst, S.C. She later joined Ladd, Milaeger & Probst, LLP as a companion in 2004. The subsequent decade introduced in addition transitions; she have become a shareholder at Halling & Cayo, S.C. in 2009 and then a partner at Vitek & Probst, S.C. in 2012. In 2015 she assumed the presidency of Probst Law Offices, S.C., returning to the company name under which she had previously practiced.
Probst’s professional education consists of a custody and placement facilitated negotiation certification from the University of Wisconsin. That credential underpins so much of her work in family regulation and dispute resolution. She serves as a divorce mediator and is active in collaborative practice circles. Her memberships include the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Milwaukee Bar Association, the Waukesha Bar Association, the Collaborative Divorce Council of Wisconsin, the American Inns of Court for Matrimonial Lawyers, and the Family Law Society, where she has been indexed since 2010.
