James Blount Griffin graduated from Gordon College in 1984 with a B.A. in Economics and History. He earned a M.A. in History from the University of Alabama in 1990 and completed his J.D. at Vanderbilt University Law School in 2001. Those educational stops formed an interest in regulation grounded in historic context and practical analysis.
He began his legal career in Atlanta as an associate at Morris Manning & Martin, LLP in 2001. The following yr he joined the Law Offices of Wm. Thomas Craig as an affiliate.
