About Howard Mark
Howard Mark Ullman started his legal trail on the University of Chicago, the place he finished a B.A. and completed his undergraduate research in 1989. He went directly to earn a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1992. Those formative years set up an early federal appellate clerkship and a pass into private practice.
Fresh from Harvard, Ullman served as a regulation clerk for the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 1992 to 1993. The clerkship placed him on the middle of federal appellate work and gave him direct knowledge with the mechanics of appellate choice-making. He entered personal practice the following yr.
From 1993 till 1999 he practiced as a lawyer at Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP. During that duration he treated client things at a giant regional firm and gained court and transactional publicity. He also took on a teacher role from 1998 to 1999, coaching whilst continuing in practice. That mix of coaching and company work broadened his point of view on legal problems and on training more youthful lawyers.
Ullman later joined Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP as Of Counsel. He is licensed to practice in Ohio and California and keeps an active license. His background includes federal appellate experience from his clerkship and years at a major regional firm, and he draws on that procedural and realistic knowledge in his current position. Colleagues note his continuous trial experience and his familiarity with multi-jurisdictional matters.
Today he's Of Counsel at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. He practices beneath the bar admissions of Ohio and California and handles matters that arise in those jurisdictions. His recent practice makes a speciality of legal issues in Ohio and California.
