Gordon Carey earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in 1975 after finishing a Bachelor of Arts on the University of Oregon in 1972. He moved into practice at a time when federal courts and maritime work were outstanding parts of the Pacific Northwest docket. His schooling set the foundation for a long profession that spans state and federal admissions.
