About Gary Francis Kennedy
Gary Francis Kennedy II grew up studying politics and records and carried that curiosity into law program. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University, majoring in political science and taking minors in economics and history. He went directly to earn a law degree from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, the place he studied litigation and courtroom practice.
After law school, Kennedy built a practice in Michigan courts. He is licensed to practice in Michigan and has labored as a litigating lawyer and counselor to individuals and small businesses. Early in his profession he handled things that required courtroom appearances and contested proceedings. Over time he expanded the kinds of disputes he managed, applying courtroom experience to case preparation and client approach.
Kennedy’s work draws on each the analytical training of his undergraduate research and the tactical lessons from law school litigation guides. He has treated court filings, evidence-gathering process, motion practice, and trials. He is comfortable in administrative proceedings in addition to county and state judiciary settings. His approach has a tendency to be pragmatic: assess the client’s instant wants, define options, and move towards decision by negotiation or legal proceedings when important.
Clients often encounter him on the calendar for pretrial conferences or proceedings. He prepares evidence, drafts briefs, and argues motions. Kennedy runs his personal practice as Lawyer/Owner. He manages initial case intake, client communications, and the daily operations that maintain a small law workplace functioning. That position requires shifting between legal proceedings tasks and the administrative aspect of the enterprise, from calendaring time limits to supervising case documents.
He continues to live and work in Michigan. His background in political science and legal proceedings informs how he evaluates disputes and gifts them in court. He is currently practicing as a Lawyer/Owner in Michigan and represents clients in litigation and related things in state courts.
