Eric D. Shevin is a licensed attorney admitted to practice regulation in the State of California. He used to be admitted to the California State Bar in 1992. His license is currently in lively standing. Mr. Shevin is the founder of Shevin Law Group, a regulation firm located in Sherman Oaks, California. He has been practicing law for over 33 years, serving clients across California and other states.
Mr. Shevin earned his Juris Doctor diploma from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1992. Prior to law program, he completed his undergraduate schooling at San Diego State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science diploma in Business Administration and Finance in 1989. During his time at San Diego State University, he served as President of the Financial Management Association's National Honor Society, reflecting prominent educational fulfillment in the area of Business Finance.
Mr. Shevin concentrates his practice in the areas of felony protection and marijuana industry law. He advocates for individuals and agencies in matters involving drug crimes, DUI/DWI, juvenile law, and various different felony offenses. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement discussions, and trial hearings in each state and federal courts. Additionally, he offers counsel to lawful cannabis cultivators, processors, distributors, dispensary and shipping retailers on issues involving legal structure, company formation, tax reporting, and compliant enterprise operations.
Throughout his career, Mr. Shevin has treated cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. He has additionally seemed before the United States Supreme Court. Prior to founding his own company, he worked as an associate at a mid-length legal proceedings company in Century City for five years.
Mr. Shevin is a member in good standing of the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice and the Criminal Courts Bar Association. He is a lifetime member of the NORML Legal Committee, dedicated to the reform of marijuana legal guidelines.
