About Elizabeth P.

Elizabeth P. Swiller is a certified attorney licensed to practice law in the State of California. She was licensed to the California State Bar in 2004. Her license is presently in active status. Ms. Swiller is a founding partner at Tot Law, APC, a law firm dedicated solely to children's legal issues, positioned in San Diego, California. She has been working as an attorney for over 22 years, serving clients throughout San Diego County and the wider Southern California area.

Ms. Swiller earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, where she used to be a member of the Constitutional Law Review journal and acquired a Witkin Award for her work in Animal Law. Prior to law school, she finished her undergraduate education on the University of San Diego, earning a Bachelor of Arts diploma with a double main in Political Science and Philosophy. She also holds an Associate's diploma in Paralegal Studies from Sweetwater High School.

Ms. Swiller concentrates her practice in family law, specializing in baby and family well-being matters, which includes Child and Family Well-Being (CFWB) instances, previously known as Child Protective Services (CPS) instances, juvenile dependency things, guardianships, adoptions, and baby-focused family regulation issues. She represents parents, kin, foster parents, and caregivers in those areas, offering guidance thru all levels of legal proceedings, from preliminary investigations to trials and appeals. Ms. Swiller is bilingual in English and Spanish, enabling her to successfully serve a diverse clientele.

Throughout her profession, Ms. Swiller has handled instances in various courts, including the Superior Court of California for the County of San Diego and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. She has additionally seemed earlier than the California Court of Appeal. Prior to founding Tot Law, APC, she worked as an associate attorney for a Certified Family Law Specialist, advocating for clients in and out of the courtroom. In 2007, she co-based Jazo & Swiller, LLC, which later merged with Tot Law, APC, to offer comprehensive services in baby and household regulation matters.

Ms. Swiller is a member in good standing of the San Diego County Bar Association, serving as an elected Member At Large for the Family Law Section. She is also a committee member for the San Diego County Bar Lawyer Referral Service. In her free time, she enjoys spending time together with her husband, Paul A. Swiller, and their three young people and two dogs.
