About Edward J.

Edward J. Welch is the founding partner of Welch Law, PLLC. He practices across several jurisdictions and has combined private practice and governance roles over two decades. He is admitted in Florida, Georgia and the District of Columbia, and he runs a small company that he began after a stint at a larger practice.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston University in 2000. He went on to law school at the University of Miami, receiving his J.D. in 2003. Those years formed his strategy to problem fixing. He studied human conduct and then discovered to use that study to legal questions.

Welch’s résumé shows movement among established firms and independent practice. In 2017 he used to be related to Broad and Cassel. That identical year he have become the founding member of Welch Law, PLLC. The two roles mark a turning factor: a pass from working inside a larger company to building a practice of his own. He has balanced client work with the executive and strategic tasks that come with operating a firm.

Outside the office, Welch has served on the board at Florida Atlantic University since 2015. That role provides an institutional point of view to his work. It also keeps him concerned in things that attain past daily legal practice, such as better-education governance and public engagement.

In personal practice he draws on experience from each the company surroundings and the responsibilities of firm management. He handles things that occur in the jurisdictions where he's licensed. His practice reflects an understanding of how state and local rules interact with expert and institutional stakeholders.

Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in strategy and continuous beneath pressure. He is understood for making direct judgments about case strategy and for placing clean expectations with clients. That realistic posture fits the practice he has constructed: a small firm that handles a variety of legal issues while remaining responsive to the procedural realities of different courts and regulatory our bodies.

He continues to steer Welch Law, PLLC and keeps lively admissions in Florida, Georgia and the District of Columbia. He currently practices at Welch Law, PLLC, the place his work concentrates on legal matters in the jurisdictions where he keeps admission.
